6-1, 243-pound FB/LB Simione Vehikite was the best kept secret in Hawaii until USC assistant coach Ken Norton Jr. stopped by Kapolei HS to talk with the versatile recruit on Monday. Less than a week after the visit and Vehikite is a Trojan.

By C Fetters. Interview with Simione's coach who says that after Vehikite's visit to Washngton this weekend, he is still committed ot the Trojans for now. UCLA, Washington and West Virginia are on him hard, and that this week will be "hot and heavy".

BY C Fetters. Jim Tressel called Simione yesterday and offered him a scholaship and a visit this weekend. Vehikite who is being recruited as a FB by the Buckeyes, will talk things over with his family and decide if he will make the trip.
