Tyler picked up an offer from Troy to go with previous offers from Marshall, Indiana and Middle Tennessee State. Marshall and Indiana seem to be in the lead and Tyler has discarded his notion of committing by summer's end.

Georgia Southern offer for Adetona
Georgia Southern joins Indiana, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State, Ball State, Buffalo and Troy as programs with scholarship offers to Gainesville’s Tyler Adetona.
The 6-foot-1, 203-pound receiver had originally planned to make a commitment by this week.
Instead, he’ll wait until after the fourth game of the season when Gainesville plays rival North Hall.
“I’m still hearing from schools like N.C. State, Central Florida and Tennessee,” Adetona said. “I feel Tennessee will come around.
“And Minnesota and Louisville sent me a big package about their programs. Time will only tell about those schools.”
Adetona said he’s picked up some speed, despite adding a few pounds to his frame. He was recently clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.48 seconds.
“I’ve gained weight, but I’m faster,” he said.

Gainesville’s Adetona set for Marshall visit
Gainesville receiver Tyler Adetona will visit Marshall this weekend. He’ll make the trek with Stephenson’s Ahmed Shakoor.
“I plan on going to West Virginia-Marshall on Saturday,” Adetona said. “Ahmed and I have been buddies ever since the Nike combine at Athens back in the spring.”
Adetona recently picked up a scholarship offer from Georgia Southern.
“They just laid it out to me and shot it to me straight,” Adetona said. “I was one of the first persons that Georgia Southern offered. I like their enthusiasm.”
Adetona, who also has offers from Indiana, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State and Troy, is now drawing interest from Louisville, N.C. State and Virginia Tech.

Tar Heels and Wolf Pack interested in Gainesville receiver
Gainesville receiver Tyler Adetona is being heavily recruited by a pair of ACC programs.
Adetona, who has scholarship offers from schools such as Ball State, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State and Troy, is receiving interest from North Carolina and N.C. State.
“North Carolina said they were only going to take one receiver,” said the 6-foot-2, 203-pound Adetona, who is averaging well over 100 yards per game in receptions this season for the Red Elephants. “Now, they’re talking about taking two receivers.
“I went to camp there this summer and worked hard. I feel like I have all the key ingredients they’re looking for.
“I went to camp there and worked at the corner position. They just like my ability to play many positions.”
Adetona sees a good fit for himself at North Carolina or N.C. State.
“I really want to get to N.C. State and visit,” he said. “But I know North Carolina is appealing. I like the area up there around Chapel Hill. It’s calm and quiet and reminds me of home.”

Adetona commits to Indiana
Gainesville receiver Tyler Adetona was very candid Tuesday night when asked why he withdrew his October commitment from Troy earlier this week, which opened the door for him to commit to Indiana late Monday.
?I felt pressured by Troy,? Adetona admitted. ?I decided to go to Indiana over the weekend and really enjoyed it. I didn?t feel any pressure at all from the coaches up there.
?They wouldn?t even let me commit while I was there. They wanted me to go home, talk to my head coach [at Gainesville], then de-commit. They didn?t want to cause any hard feelings.?
Adetona, who teamed with Gerald Ford to give Gainesville one of the state?s most potent receiving corps this season, said he instantly fell in love with the Bloomington campus.
?It?s a great school, which is a big plus, they have a great football program and they take care of you,? Adetona said. ?And what else can you ask for academically?
?It?s a beautiful place.?
