Reflects on his OSU visit...talks mostly about Coach Tressel and Coach Reynolds. No favorites at this point but wants to commit before his season.

Ohio State Scout - 07/16/07
Blake discusses his visit to Columbus. His top five are Southern Cal, Arizona State, Cal, Wisconsin, and Ohio State (all offered). Distance will be a factor. Blake intends to make a decision this summer.

From the Wisconsin site...talks mostly about his trip to Wisconsin but also recaps his OSU visit. Could decide in the next few weeks and may visit Cal and USC soon.
Still don't see him going anywhere other than USC...IMHO.

Orange Lutheran's Ayles says USC is his choice
By STEVE FRYER
OCVarsity.com
Orange Lutheran tight end Blake Ayles committed to USC, Ayles and Lancers coch Jim Kunau confirmed today.
Ayles became the third incoming senior from an Orange County school to commit to the Trojans, following Servite’s Matt Kalil and D.J. Shoemate. And Ayles’ former Orange Lutheran teammates, Aaron Corp and Michael Reardon, are entering their freshman seasons at USC.
He also had scholarship offers from more than a dozen colleges and had narrowed his choices to six: Arizona, Cal, Miami, Ohio State, USC and Wisconsin.
"A lot of it was Coach (Pete) Carroll," said Ayles, referring to the Trojans' coach. "That, and it's close to home, and USC looks like it's going to be on top for the next five or six years, and I want to be a part of that."
Ayles, 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds as a junior this past season, had 43 receptions for 617 yards in 2006. He caught four passes, including one for a 50-yard touchdown reception, in the Lancers’ victory over Edison in the CIF-Southern Section Pac-5 Division championship game. Ayles was named All-Orange County first team.
Kunau said Ayles will see plenty of action at defensive end this season, too.
Ayles also was named All-County in track and field as a discus thrower.

"My dad and I drove up to USC (on July 22) and we talked with coach Pete Carroll and Brennan Carroll (recruiting coordinator)," Blake Ayles said. "We talked for about one and half hours and finally I told him I was ready to commit. Coach Carroll immediately jumped up and hugged me. They were both super excited...I'm totally solid - 100 percent done. I'll only visit USC..."
