By Jardy...everything has been quiet on the recruiting front because Josh is very focused on his season. Josh's coach admits to being a big Mountaineer fan and admits that is where he would like to see him end up.

Another interview with Coach Buttrey where he says Josh does not talk much about recruiting and he is focused on his season. He does say there is legitimate interest in Florida.

Decision Time for Parkersburg's Josh Jenkins
Posted Monday, December 3, 2007 ; 12:04 AM
The highly-touted offensive lineman has offers from just about every major college.
Story by Jared Fia
By now, Josh Jenkins is used to being in high demand.
The senior offensive lineman has had nearly every major college recruiter try to sway his decision for life after Wood County.
You name the program, they've stuffed a letter in his mailbox or paid a trip to Stadium Field.
And why not?
At 6'5", 305 pounds, with a shuttle time that makes men holding the stopwatch stare in disbelief, Jenkins is one of the most highly-touted Mountain State pigskin products in years.
It got so bad that Jenkins made himself virtually unavailable for months at a time.
He disconnected his cellphone, letting only a select handful of people know how to get in contact with him.
Now that the Big Reds have been crowned Class-AAA State Champions for a second straight year, Jenkins can finally turn his attention to answering the question on everyone's mind.
Where will he go?
Jenkins verbally committed to West Virginia University but lists four other schools as potential places to play next year.
Florida, Florida State, Vanderbilt, and Ohio State all remain in the running for Jenks' services, starting in 2008.
The former 13 Sports Athlete of the Week is currently ranked by scout.com as the number one Guard in the nation.

Parkersburg’s Jenkins wins Gatorade honor
Parkersburg senior Josh Jenkins was named the Gatorade West Virginia football player of the year Monday.
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound two-way lineman helped the Big Reds to their second straight Class AAA state championship this past weekend.
Behind Jenkins on the offensive line, Parkersburg rushed for 3,937 yards and averaged 38.5 points per game. At defensive end, Jenkins recorded 48 tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles. Jenkins, who won the Hunt Award last year as the state’s top lineman, is now a finalist for the national player of the year award, which will be announced later this month.

Josh's coach says he thinks Jenkins will take all 5 visits with Tennessee and FSU getting the additional trips. He also says Florida is recruiting extremely hard.

Recruiting war heating up for Parkersburg's Jenkins
By Derek Taylor
Daily Mail sportswriter
Josh Jenkins' plans are getting about as difficult to decipher as the DaVinci Code.
The Parkersburg High School offensive lineman gave a verbal commitment to West Virginia last year. However, offers from several different high-profile programs continued to filter through to the 6-foot-3, 305-pound All-Stater and All-American who is considered to be one of the top five prospects in the nation at the guard position.
Over time, Jenkins' commitment level to WVU began to be listed as a "soft verbal'' though Jenkins himself has never said he intended to back out of it.
His comments that he intended to visit other schools prior to signing a binding letter of intent fueled rumors -- and fears among Mountaineer fans -- that he would ultimately choose to play his home games somewhere other than in Morgantown.
An official visit to Ohio State made by Jenkins last Saturday only adds fuel to those suspicions.
"He made his visit to Ohio State last weekend and had just a fantastic time," Parkersburg High assistant coach Mark McCullough said Tuesday. "I'd say right now it's between West Virginia and Ohio State."

Says he doesn't want to comment too much on the WVU situation and says he is not really interested in UM.
