Fletcher's final five are Michigan State, North Carolina State, Boston College, Iowa, and Nebraska; he will probably take official visits to all five schools.

Cornerback Donnie Fletcher took his official visit to Boston College on Sept. 22. The Eagles are recruiting him the hardest. "I like that it's a small campus and just a very comfortable place," Fletcher said. "It's a great college town. I also like the coaches at Boston College too. They remind me of my high school coaches and we actually run the same coverages they do. The game atmosphere..."

Donnie Fletcher, Scout.com's No. 42 cornerback nationwide, said he now favors Boston College slightly over Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio State and West Virginia. All of his favorites have offered, except Ohio State. "Ohio State hasn't offered yet, but they were at my game last week," Fletcher said. "I know they said they want to evaluate me some more this season..."

"I'm graduating in December and I'll be starting college in January, so I want to make my decision soon," Donnie Fletcher said. "I really like that Boston College plays in the ACC and I like my chances of playing early there," he said. "They also have really good academics and offer a great degree. They've had a really good year considering they've had a new first year coach..."

Glenville DB chooses BC
Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Bob Fortuna
Plain Dealer Reporter
Talk about peer pressure.
Glenville senior defensive back Donnie Fletcher was courted heavily by former Tarblooders Arvell Nelson, Bruce Davis, Derrick Smith and Lebron Daniel on his recent visit to the University of Iowa.
However, the 6-1, 175-pounder did what he felt was best for himself while also making history in the Ted Ginn Sr. era by giving his oral commitment to Boston College.
