Michigan gave A.J. his first D-1 offer but he is receiving heavy interest from North Carolina, Virginia, Temple, VMI, Liberty, and Winston-Salem State. A.J. was thought to be a basketball prospect so he has been under the radar on the football recruiting circuit.

A.J. loved his unofficial visit to Michigan and says he would love to play for Lloyd Carr, but that situation will not affect him. He will take December officials to Michigan and PSU.

From the UVA site...reamins interested in UVA despite no offer. Michigan, PSU and Duke have offered and he will make an official to Florida this weekend. Visiting UM in the middle of January and PSU on 12/14.

From BWI...still visiting PSU on the 12/14. Coaches from UNC, UM and Florida were in to see him recently and UNC offered. Talks about his unofficial to Virginia last weekend and says he will visit UNC in January. UM moved his official back to January.

The 6-4, 175-pounder is down to Virginia, which he doesn't have an official visit planned yet, and the Nittany Lions. Price, who caught 32 passes for 816 yards and 11 touchdowns this past season, could make a decision after this weekend, but that's not set in stone.

"In a perfect world I will visit Penn State and then make my decision next week," Price said. "If I go to Penn State and I am not ready to make my decision, I will visit (Virginia) on Jan. 25 most likely."

When future Penn State wide receiver A.J. Price gets in the blocks for the final time on Friday at Todd Stadium in Newport News, Va., for the VHSL Group AAA state track and field championships, it won't just be the final sporting event of his high school career, it will also be a chance to bring South Lakes High School its first track state championship in school history.

Price and his teammates have already made a bit of history in the last few weeks, winning the school's first district title in 21 years two weeks ago, and adding the school's first regional title ever last Saturday.

"I got first place in the 200 and the 400 and the long jump in districts and regionals," said Price. "We have states on Friday and Saturday. I'm just doing the 400, long jump and our relays. I can't do the 200 because we're only allowed to do three running events."
