Kyle has four offers - Ohio State, Virginia, Kansas State, and Louisville. He will visit Ohio State this weekend, and plans on seeing several other schools this year.
In the article, Kyle admitted to being an ardent Virginia fan, and stated that distance will be a factor (family ties). My take: However, when discussing Virginia, Kyle's "tone" seemed somewhat sentimental, if you know what I mean. FWIW.

By Allen Wallace...Kyle names FSU as his leader (they are the only school to offer for baseball as well as football). He is also looking at USC, Florida, Ohio State and Virginia.

Top two-sport recruit leans toward baseball

In stature alone, Kyle Long would be an impressive addition to any roster. At 6-foot-7 and 280 pounds, Long certainly caught a few eyes when he visited the Florida State dugout before Friday night's game.
Long, who is taking a weekend visit to FSU, would also be a fine addition on the mound or in the infield. And that's where FSU fans might see him next season. Speculation has run rampant that Long has committed to FSU's baseball coaches.
Long apparently wants to play baseball over football, where he is a standout tackle prospect. And, so far anyway, FSU is the only school to offer a baseball scholarship to the left-handed pitcher from St. Anne's-Belfield School in Charlottesville, Va. Long began his junior season with two saves.
On his way out of Dick Howser Stadium on Friday night, Long said he had not made a college decision. He was complimentary of the program and Dick Howser Stadium.
?(The program), it's awesome,? Long said following FSU's 11-1 victory over Clemson. ?I had a great time today.?
The nation's best college football programs have been pursuing Long, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Howie Long, who accompanied his son on the trip - and to Howser Stadium on Friday night. The programs to offer scholarships to Kyle Long in football include Florida State, Ohio State, Penn State, Southern Cal and Florida among others.

The Tallahassee Democrat confirmed on Saturday night that top baseball prospect Kyle Long has committed to play for the Seminoles. Long, a 6-foot-7 pitcher/first baseman, took his official visit to FSU over the weekend. He is also a highly rated football prospect but may opt to play just baseball in college.

Change of heart?: Rumors continue to swirl that Charlottesville (Va.) St. Anne's-Belfield offensive lineman Kyle Long could be re-thinking his decision to play only baseball in college. Long committed to Florida State for baseball early this summer, but has apparently been thinking about continuing his football career either at FSU or possibly at Ohio State. Long denies the rumors and simply says he's committed to FSU, but keep an eye on this one. Long is a five-star prospect as a football player, but Howie Long's son is also an outstanding baseball pitcher.
