From the Mizzou site...talks at length about his visit to Missouri. Likes Missouri because they are recruiting him to play QB. Due to visit ND and Michigan this week and Florida and LSU next week.

From the ND site...talks about his unofficial to ND, who is not talking QB, although he says that won't be a huge factor. Mentions having offers from the likes of Nebraska, Texas A&M, Cal, Kansas State, Kansas, Illinois, Missouri and Oklahoma State and thinks ND is close to offering.

From the ND site...a bit misleading title...he does not claim a favorite school but instead claims a favorite position...quarterback. ND has not told him where they want him as of now.

Although Chris Harper denies a leader, he says he's close to setting up an official visit to Notre Dame, which he says offered him about three weeks ago. "I've been talking to them recently about setting up a trip," he said. "The coaching staff says that I'd have a chance to get on the field early. They see me as an athlete and say that I'm the kind of player that gives them a lot of options..."

Kansas.com | 09/01/2007 | Northwest runs over Kapaun Mount Carmel
Quote:
Posted on Sat, Sep. 01, 2007
BY JOANNA CHADWICK
The Wichita Eagle
Kapaun Mount Carmel coach Dan Adelhardt knows that when he and his coaching staff watches video from Friday's season opener at Northwest, they'll see their defensive players in perfect position to stop Northwest. Which will only make the Crusaders' poor tackling even more glaringly obvious.
They'll see how Kapaun let Northwest quarterback Chris Harper and running backs Demarcus Robinson and TJ Shine slip through tackles and bounce off defenders for big gains.
"We didn't tackle real well. We have to tackle. Football is simple -- blocking and tackling." Adelhardt said.
Kapaun failed to stop Northwest's running game, which had 447 rushing yards in a 42-20 season-opening victory.
Harper finished with 190 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries, while Robinson, a sophomore, had 164 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Shine added 70 yards and one score on nine carries, and fullback Sam Bautista had 23.

Kansas.com | 09/08/2007 | Northwest hammers Southeast
Quote:
Northwest hammers Southeast
BY LEVI WOLTERS
Wichita Eagle correspondent
It was projected to be a showcase of offensive juggernauts.
Northwest and Southeast combined to score 90 points last week, so the meeting between the two Friday night at Northwest was supposedly a surefire shootout.
Problem was, only one team fired.
Hoping Southeast would stack eight or more defenders against the run, Grizzlies coach Weston Schartz told his quarterback, Chris Harper, he was going to test his arm.
The senior was on target, completing 6 of 8 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown as Northwest cruised to a 30-8 victory.
"Chris has worked hard all summer improving his throw," Schartz said."... Yes, Chris can throw. I mean, Chris Harper is Chris Harper."
Harper's ability to get himself out of jams was remarkable.
Early in the third quarter, with Northwest at the Southeast 31, Harper was flushed from the pocket. He danced and dodged, ending up all the way back at the Northwest 49 where he was sacked.
On the next play, Harper threw a perfect lob to Nic Farrar, who was tackled at the 1.

Kansas.com | 09/21/2007 | Northwest builds up to big win over South
Quote:
Highly touted Northwest quarterback Chris Harper was held in check, for the most part.
Though his numbers were low, he managed to find the end zone once on a short run in the first half and again on an interception return in the game's final minute.
