From the Mississippi Scout writer Y. Porter. Wallace has trimmed his list to Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Stanford and talks about when he would like to decide.

Bowling Green coach Kevin Wallace said his tight end - and son - Ryan Wallace is "probably farther away from a decision that he was" a month or so ago. Several other schools, including Rutgers, Boston College and Colorado, are now viable options. Ryan Wallace told me today that Colorado offered him a scholarship, along with his teammate D.L. Moore. Wallace still likes Kentucky, Mississippi, Stanford and Cincinnati.

Visited Colorado with D.L. Moore. They want to go to school together, yet Kentucky hasn't offered Moore. Thinking about visiting Arkansas.

Bowling Green tight end Ryan Wallace made a surprise visit to the University of Kentucky campus on Tuesday and then on Wednesday picked up another scholarship offer.
Wallace, who is on fall break for two weeks, said his visit to Lexington "was a lot of fun." He spent time looking over some of the school's academic offerings and then later watched a little of the Wildcats practice.
"We had a chance to meet with the academic advisors and look around," he said. "It was nice."
The 6-foot-5, 245-pound Wallace said the UK coaches have warned him with a limited number of scholarships and the team's recent success that a commitment should come sooner rather than later if he wants to play for the Wildcats.
"If I go to Kentucky, I will commit in the next few weeks and if not I'll just wait it out," Wallace said. "They told me, . . . they're already getting a lot of guys that were not interested a while back that now they are interested."
Wallace said Rutgers only recently watched his film but he said he already holds an offer from the Big East school. He's also been offered by and visited Colorado and Stanford and noted that Wake Forest and Arkansas are still in constant contact.
"I had it down to Kentucky and Colorado, I thought," Wallace said. "But now, I just don't know."

With 14 offers in hand, Ryan Wallace said he favors Wake Forest, Colorado and Kentucky solidly over Stanford, Cincinnati and Rutgers. "I talk to all of these schools once a week," Wallace said. "Rutgers just offered me about a week ago, so they are new to my list, but have been recruiting me really hard." Wallace says he also hopes to officially visit Rutgers and Wake Forest before deciding.

Rob Gidel is reporting another commitment for the University of Kentucky football program. Gidel reported earlier tonight that Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin tight end Sean Stackhouse has committed to the Wildcats. "It's a soft verbal," the player told Gidel, noting he wanted to keep his options open to make sure UK didn't recruit over him or plan on moving him from tight end. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Stackhouse was also getting looks from Miami (Fla.), East Carolina and Central Florida.
I didn't reach Bowling Green tight end Ryan Wallace, but I assume this commitment will mean Wallace won't be attending Kentucky. Wallace told me a few weeks back the UK staff told him there was only one or two remaining scholarships left for offensive players.

Wallace favors GT over Wake, Colorado, and Rutgers. Will visit RU on Dec 14, GT on Jan 11.

Bowling Green tight end Ryan Wallace picked up an offer from the University of Louisville this morning, the day after the Purples lost in the Class 3-A state final.
The 6-foot-5, 217-pound Wallace said he will now consider the Cardinals, along with Rutgers, Wake Forest and Colorado.
"I don't know now, I'll just have to wait and see", Wallace said. "I have always been a Louisville fan and it's a place that I have always wanted to play."
Wallace said he'll visit Rutgers next weekend and then might narrow his list down even more from the four schools currently on it. He was also considering Georgia Tech but the Yellowjackets hired Paul Johnson as their coach and Wallace said he didn't think the wishbone attack would be a good fit.
The interest from U of L started about a week ago with calls from recruiting coordinator Greg Nord. His father and Bowling Green coach Kevin Wallace also talked with U of L head coach Steve Kragthorpe this week.

Tight end Ryan Wallace (6-5, 230) caught six passes for 68 yards and finished the season with 669 yards receiving and seven TDs. He's visiting Rutgers this coming weekend and is also still considering Wake Forest, Colorado and Louisville.

From the Rutgers site. Wallace enjoyed his trip to Rutgers and says he fits in well with the people and system. His top four is Louisville, Wake Forest, Rutgers, and Colorado.

Louisville has missed out on some top in-state football prospects this recruiting season, but this morning coach Steve Kragthorpe landed a major in-state prize.
Bowling Green High School tight end Ryan Wallace just confirmed to me that he called the U of L coaches this morning and committed.
"It's always been a place that I wanted to go," Wallace said. "The distance and just the comfort level up there. Once I thought about everything, it just matched up. I liked it there, I know a lot of people up there and some of my friends from high school are going there. Plus, I've known coach (Greg) Nord for a little bit. Everything just fit into place."
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end picked the Cardinals over Rutgers, Wake Forest, Colorado and Stanford. He had just visited Rutgers last weekend.
"We flew into Louisville after my visit to Rutgers," Wallace said. "We drove over to see the campus and I really liked it a lot. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. Louisville is the place where I feel I will excel the best."

Wallace re-opens process
Bowling Green tight end Ryan Wallace committed to play football at Louisville in mid-December but is now re-thinking his decision less than a month from signing day.
Wallace's father and coach, Kevin Wallace, told me tonight that his son is looking around and hopes to have a final decision on where he'll attend college by the end of the week.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Wallace visited Wake Forest last weekend. Colorado had an in-home visit on Tuesday, while U of L coach Steve Kragthorpe will be there on Thursday and Wake Forest is scheduled to come in on Friday. The father said his son has also had some contact with Duke since ex-Tennessee assistant coach David Cutcliffe became the coach.
"He just felt like he wasn’t quite sure where he wanted to go," Kevin Wallace said. "It's hard for me to explain because it’s hard for me to understand.
"We want him to make the right decision and we're hoping he'll make a decision sometime by the end of the week."
