Ranking the Big Ten: Brandon Minor, No. 22 - Big Ten - ESPN

Quote:
No. 22

Brandon Minor, RB, Michigan, Sr., 6-1, 216

Why he's here -- Minor emerged as a bright spot for an otherwise miserable Michigan offense last season and enters 2009 pegged as one of the Big Ten's best running backs. Despite battling a wrist injury that literally forced him to play left-handed, Minor came on strong during conference play and led Michigan with 533 rush yards and nine touchdowns.

He racked up 117 rush yards and two touchdowns against a Penn State defense that ranked eighth nationally against the run. Minor followed up two weeks later with 155 rush yards and three touchdowns against Purdue.

Michigan is a year older along the offensive line, and Minor leads a stable of running backs that should be the team's strength this fall. If he gets any help from the quarterback and the passing game, Minor could be in the mix for All-Big Ten honors.
