In-state junior Lamonte Edwards picks Gophers
A 6-foot-2, 210-pound running back, Lamonte Edwards of Woodbury, Minn., has become the 4th Class of 2010 pledge for Minnesota.
Edwards, also a linebacker, chose the Gophers over offers from Iowa, Wisconsin and Alabama-Birmingham.
His high school coach, Beau LaBore, said of the news, "He's excited about the chance to play running back."
