But i completely understand why PSU disrespects MD in this area- LJ is a man on a mission and he really relates to a lot of recruits. I haven't seen Coxson mention anything about his relationship with LJ but I could be mistaken, mostly everything is all about Johnson.
Hopefully for our sake times are changing in this area- hopefully there will never be a haul for you guys like there was in 2006. In fact you can see how much a difference Franklin is making, the guys that you beat us out for this past year were Stanley, Thomas, and Givens. That's still a lot of guys, but considerably down from what it was in 2006.

PSU is off to a great start in Pennsylvania and it looks like it will command the state, if the dominoes fall. Hull and Jones are the top two in the state and PSU could be getting Dakota Royer very soon and maybe Bettancourt after that. Sharrif Floyd, Brandon Ifill, Kenney among others have MAJOR interest in PSU. I'm not sure PSU loses anyone in state this year that OSU or Pitt want as well, which couldn't be said of years past.
Paterno has p*ssed off a few coaches in state and it hasn't helped. His rift with one of his former players, Terry Smith, has led the pipeline of Gateway High School to Pitt or OSU.
As for this year, I thought Morris also had an offer from Maryland, but its irrevelant. You got two that had PSU offers and only Travis Hawkins has more than passing interest. Arnett wasn't coming to PSU. Whether he didn't have any interest, or his coach steered him away after the ALE thing is beyond me. Ankrah was our's if we didn't kick him to the curb twice. I can't count him, but he would have been another.
We will come into Maryland and get a few, but we won't have to rely on that state as much this year. We have probably 16 openings and can take most of our kids from PA, if staff wants. I don't think Ego will look at PSU much, but this receiver, Coxson, and a few others certainly will, like Haverstein, maybe Louis Young and maybe that LB stud, Nick Forbes.
