I've got this kid as one of my top 5 must-gets...reading that article just reinforced it; TOTAL PACKAGE (on the field, academically, off the field). It will hurt badly if we don't get him, we desperately need another #1 type.
I don't think the WRs we brought in will be a problem. Brandon Felder is a potential greyshirt due to knee injury, definite RS regardless (I would think). Shawney Kersey's physical talent (6'2 190 - 4.4 - 100/200M times - athleticism) hasn't matched his production on an actual football field, and he has battled through injury. Devon Smith is 5'7 150 at best, and I see him as more of an all-around threat then an actual WR.
Christian Kuntz, like Shawney Kersey, is more ATH/athleticism then WR/skilled at a particular position. Curtis Drake played QB in H.S. and while he may see time as a freshmen, I view his game (hopefully) as Norwood's game was. I really like all 5 of the players mentioned above (especially Felder - think he could be great), but it is basically Justin Brown (WR/KR maybe), Derrick Thomas (WR-KR/
PR) and possibly one of Kersey (grades?)/Drake (learning the position) that would appear to be sure things at the WR position as true freshmen.
