One of the Illini's main targets has been Rock Island's Chasson Randle.
The 6-foot-2 guard has already received offers from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State and Bradley. Other schools showing interest include Wisconsin, Florida, Kansas and Purdue. Randle's AAU coach, Mike Mullins of the Illinois Wolves, expects the sophomore to continue to impress as he improves.
"I think there's guys you walk in the gym and they look the part. Then the game starts and they don't necessarily produce the way they look," Mullins said. "Chasson's a kid that's done both, and he's done it playing three or four years up at a very young age. He's very gifted athletically. He's long, very, very quick, great first step, plays well with both hands. He has really improved his shooting in this last year."......
