A special desk arrived in a first grade classroom at Lake Highland 11 years ago.
Michael Brewster's legs were too long, so he needed a bigger desk than the other kids.
"When you went to open house you'd see the desk move to second grade, then to third grade," said Kathy Brewster, Michael's mother, smiling. "They would accommodate him."
