As you know Moore and DiLillo are two completely different types of TEs...and the OSU staff preferred DiLillo to Moore from Day 1. Ayles is more like DiLillo than Moore so you can see that is the type of TE they targeted. They liked Koger because of his athleticism and his versatility.
Not sure if the Trotwood thing worked against Brandon as far as OSU is concerned but it is certainly possible. Either way he is a fine football player and great student and several OSU recruitniks would have liked to see him get an offer. I would have been happy with an offer to either of them out of the gates (as you can see
here and
here) but in the end I am happy with how things shook out...Moore will be a great fit in UM's scheme and DiLillo will be a great fit in OSU's offense.
