Fox is fast and Hinkel is fundamentally sound, gets to the ball and is a hard hitter. McVey is outstanding and plays the pass well. He started last year as a sophomore, and to start as a 10th-grader in a program like Ignatius says a lot for McVey. He's good and he's only going to get better.

The Wildcats' defense also had its moments, as senior nose tackle Ryan Carr and junior linebacker Scott McVey (three sacks) displayed relentless pursuit from the get-go.

St. Ignatius, playing its 3-5 stack defense, was led by relentless linebacker Scott McVey, who sacked Glenville quarterback Terrence Owens three times and made numerous other key plays.

Could be one of the top LBs in the state in 2010...missed part of last year due to an injury. Also had three sacks in the OT loss to Xavier last season...

Not much more info to provide quite yet as far as profile, picture, etc., but Coach Tressel invited him to watch the YSU game tomorrow, so obviously there is some OSU interest. Looks like a guy to keep an eye on at least. Scott is also very interested in Boston College and Notre Dame.

From the ND site...talks about his team utilizes his talents in their defensive scheme...has been to games at OSU and Michigan and is hearing from BC, ND and Illinois. Grew up an OSU fan but is interested in ND because of the other Ignatius players that have gone there.
