ESPN - West Recruiting Blog
Quote:
Spanish Fork (Utah) tight end Richard Wilson has set up three October visits and could be making his college choice in early November.
"My first visit is with Miami [Oct. 4]," Wilson said. "Then I have Stanford [Oct. 11] and LSU [Oct. 25]. I'm going to visit BYU as well, but I haven't set that one up yet, and that will likely be it for me."
Wilson was in attendance at this weekend's BYU-UCLA game. One has to assume he was impressed by the Cougars' sheer dominance of the opposition.
"I like BYU a lot, and I like how much they use the tight end in their offense," Wilson said. "I know my family would like to see me stay close by, but I still want to take my visits."
Wilson will be joined at the game by good friend and elite 2010 quarterback prospect Jake Heaps. Heaps -- a 6-foot-2, 185-pounder from Issaquah (Wash.) Skyline -- has double-digit scholarship offers. Wilson may have given us a hint on whom the junior signal-caller has leading at this time.
When we jokingly asked Wilson if he would be recruiting Heaps to BYU during the game, the tight end responded "It's actually the other way around."
